Who We Are

The Lexington Pickleball Club (LPC) is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organization with 1,500+ members, serving the pickleball community in Lexington, Massachusetts. Organized under Section 501(c)(7) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, LPC makes sure Lexington residents of every age and skill level have a place to play, learn, and belong.

Our Mission

  1. Organize the play of pickleball in the Lexington area for the enjoyment, health, and social engagement of players of all ages and abilities, through information, resources, and organized recreational and competitive play.

  2. Support the continued development of all players in a collegial and sportsmanlike environment.

Our Story

LPC traces its roots to 2022, when a small group of Lexington residents began working with the Town to bring organized pickleball to the community. The club incorporated in 2023, earning nonprofit tax-exempt status the same year, founded by Bruce Yap, Doreen Karoll, Hal Miller-Jacobs, Hien Nguyen, and PK Shiu.

Since then, LPC has grown from a grassroots effort into an established community partner — working with the Town of Lexington, its Recreation Department, and local organizations to expand access to courts, equipment, coaching, and social play.

What We Do

‍ ‍

  • Open play, indoor and outdoor, year-round

  • Lessons and clinics for beginners through advanced players

  • Coaching at every skill level

  • Social leagues and community events (open houses, new-court celebrations, Pickle Fest)

  • Equipment access, including a paddle- and ball-lending partnership with Cary Memorial Library

  • Advocacy for expanded court access across Lexington, with LexRec and the Town
